WORK EXPERIENCE
Web Developer, Visual Designer: Enhanced Software Products, Inc.; Spokane, WA 2007 – Present
Responsible for maintaining and developing in-house online banking software integrated with the credit union core processing solutions provided by the company. Developed and deployed a re-written ASP.NET-based online banking application, designed and maintained client web sites, and maintained previous online banking software during transition to the new product. Also designed visual elements for CD distributions and other printed media.
Game Master / Customer Support: Cyan Worlds, Inc.; Mead, WA 2007
Worked in-game as a support staffer for Myst Online: Uru Live. Responsibilities included assisting players who were experiencing technical problems, handling support tickets, and providing in-game, in-character orientations to new players every hour. Occasional beta-testing and play-testing of unreleased game content was also required.
Off-site Web Application Developer / Website Designer: Supersonic Strength Training; Costa Mesa, CA 2005 – 2006
Responsible for website layout and design, as well as MySQL and PHP web application development, for a California health and fitness club. Web application is used for management of club employees, employee scheduling, customer subscriptions, tracking customer payments, customer workout reservations, customer exercise records, displaying visual feedback to customers showing their progress in exercises, contacting customers, and integrating data into the Account Edge MYOB business account management software for Mac OS X. Implemented Quality Assurance (QA) of software for the development of this project. Used pre-existing Applescript actions and Automator actions to enable uploading of customer photos from club computer system running Mac OS X.
Website Developer / Webmaster: DPWR.NET 2000 – Present
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the website using the Invision Power Board forum software as a basis for additional code and layout work. Created graphic elements and developed the color scheme used on the website. Wrote custom modules for Invision Power Board in PHP to access data and display it outside of the standard forum design. Developed graphics, layouts, and content for a community newsletter using Apple’s Pages word processing application. Distributed newsletter online using XML/RSS syndication tools.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Worked as a member of a community-based organization working with UbiSoft Entertainment to improve relations between the publisher and the fan base for the Mystâ„¢ series.
- Created a pre-rendered, explorable environment from concept to final render in 11 weeks as part of a final project Capstone class at ITT Technical Institute.
